Just for a moment we held
This little child, so precious
So rare.
So filled with unconditional love
And wisdom
She never complained,
Her spirit content.
Always giving back more than
She ever required;
A child filled with grace.
Teaching us about God’s love
and the promise we will be together
again.
Just for a moment, we can still
Hear her lingering laugh
Our hearts beating almost as one
Remembering how she would
Giggle as we blew softly into her hair
Her memory lives on
In our family’s heart
Knowing
Life is not forever
But love is.
